Adam Gottsegen of Smith Debnam honored as a 2011 Emerging Legal Leader

Smith Debnam is proud to congratulate Adam Gottsegen, Partner, for his selection as 2011 Emerging Legal Leader presented by North Carolina Lawyer’s Weekly created to recognize lawyers, who have been licensed for 10 years or less or are 40 years old or younger, who are making a difference both in the profession and in their communities. A panel of impartial judges reviewed the nominations, and Adam was selected among several qualified nominees.

Adam Gottsegen concentrates his practice in bankruptcy and creditors' rights. Adam represents a variety of businesses in the lending and financing industry who seek to protect their contractual rights and security interests in both real and personal property. His clients include banks, credit unions, and consumer and commercial lenders. Adam earned his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law and his B.A. in Psychology from Vanderbilt University. His professional and community involvement include the Rotary Club of North Raleigh, Leadership Raleigh Class of 2008/2009, Leadership Raleigh Alumni Association, The Young Advocates, North Carolina Bar Association, Bankruptcy Section; Wake County Bar Association, Young Lawyers’ Division; Commercial Law League of America; Primerus International Law Society; and the North Carolina Bankers Association.

Adam was honored at the Emerging Legal Leaders awards luncheon on Thursday, November 3 at the Westin in Charlotte, NC and was featured in NC Lawyers Weekly.
