Smith Debnam's Martha Blackman-Hughes earns certification from NALA

Martha L. Blackman-Hughes of Smith Debnam, recently passed the National Association of Legal Assistants (NALA) exam. NALA is the nation's leading professional association for paralegals and legal assistants. As a non-profit organization, NALA provides continuing education and professional development programs for paralegals.
Martha has been with Smith Debnam since 2008 as a Paralegal for the firm’s Creditor’s Rights Construction and Leasing practice area and has been in the paralegal field since 2001. “Setting the goal to achieve this certification was a great opportunity to show my employer that I am committed to my profession, and preparing for the exam broadened my knowledge of current legal issues,” noted Martha.
