Adam M. Gottsegen concentrates his practice in bankruptcy and creditors’ rights.  Mr. Gottsegen represents a variety of businesses and clients in the lending and financing industry who seek to protect their interests pursuant to their contract rights and security interests in both real and personal property.  His clients include banks, credit unions, and consumer and commercial lenders.

Mr. Gottsegen assists clients through the protection of their interests in bankruptcy matters, enforcement of liens and foreclosure actions.  He has extensive experience appearing before the Bankruptcy Courts for all federal districts in North Carolina and broad litigation experience at the state court level.

Mr. Gottsegen has maintained his practice concentration in creditors’ rights and bankruptcy law since 2003. Prior to joining Smith Debnam, Mr. Gottsegen spent a year as a clerk to the Honorable J. Rich Leonard, Chief Judge of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of North Carolina.
