JP Morgan, Home Depot, Dairy Queen, Goodwill, and now UPS…

Just in the last 10 days or so, security breaches involving private consumer data have been reported at JP Morgan, Home Depot, Dairy Queen, and UPS, some which having gone undetected for months. As was the case with Target’s breach late last year, again it seems that cyber criminals are gaining backdoor access by targeting a company’s network of vendors, looking for vulnerability.
