Summary Job Description:

This position is responsible for performing a variety of support activities for the Consumer Collections section.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process new claim setup (both manual and electronic) and review new claims for accuracy of name, address, plaintiff, etc.  Ensure all client information is correct.
  • Load and review daily updates from our clients including recalls and re-placements. Research any errors and make corrections.
  • Download and import Account Level Documentation (loan docs, contracts, applications, statement of accounts, and terms and conditions, etc.).
  • Review Account Level Documentation for correct balances and debtor information.
  • Generate initial demand letters on new claims, review demand letters for accuracy, scan letters into imaging software, and run daily import tasks.
  • Request out-of-state exemplified judgments for domestication in order to process continuing suit.
  • Review and follow up on files that are on hold and then process accordingly.
  • Process claim reassignments where a debtor has relocated outside of the jurisdiction.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Prefer Associates degree and/or a minimum of 1-2 years equivalent experience.
  • Proficient in creating and revising Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to analyze and decipher data such as the status of debtor payments, account balances, and status of the litigation process in client reports.  Ability to discover client account errors and present solutions
  • Understanding of litigation legal process a plus
  • Ability to multi-task a variety of assignments regularly
  • Proven ability to work with a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in basic math: adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing in all units of measure
  • Proficient organizational skills and strong ability to attend to details
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 50 WPM or more
