Smith Debnam partner Bettie Sousa is excited to be teaching a course this fall in Business Litigation. She will be an adjunct professor at the Wake Forest University School of Law, where she met her husband, her law school trial partner. At the time she interviewed with Smith Debnam in 1980, the firm was comprised exclusively of lawyers who received their J.D. degrees from WFU. Bettie currently serves on the Wake Law Board of Visitors.
The Business Litigation course, designed by Bettie, is intended to educate third-year law students in the practical aspects of handling commonly litigated matters for business clients.
