Raleigh, N.C. (October 7, 2019) – The Conference on Consumer Finance Law (CCFL) announced at its fall meeting that it elected Caren Enloe to the Governing Committee. CCFL is a non-profit organization founded in 1926 by members of the legal profession and the financial services industry to offer educational services, publications and research relating to consumer financial services law. The Governing Committee establishes policies and directs the activities of the CCFL.
Enloe leads Smith Debnam’ s consumer financial services litigation and compliance group in defending consumer financial service providers and members of the collection industry in state and federal court, as well as in regulatory matters involving a variety of consumer protection laws. She currently serves as chair of the Debt Collection Practices and Bankruptcy subcommittee for the American Bar Association’s Consumer Financial Services Committee and is also a member of the Defense Bar for the National Creditors Bar Association, the North Carolina State Chair for ACA International’s Member Attorney Program and a member of the Bank Counsel Committee of the North Carolina Bankers Association.
