The Triangle Business Journal (TBJ) selected the inaugural recipients of its Healthiest Employers award, which recognizes area companies and nonprofit entities that have committed to making wellness a priority while proactively shaping the health of their employees. Winning companies completed an online assessment through TBJ’s partner, Healthiest Employers Inc. This non-biased measurement scored the wellness programs of each nominee in comparison to benchmarks for regional and national employers.
Our employee’s participation in firm-sponsored health assessments, biometric clinics, smoking cessation programs, weight loss initiatives, and company-sponsored health education opportunities were among the list of wellness-related items that earned the firm’s selection for this award. We are honored to be listed among some of the area’s top employers.
The firm’s HR Manager Theresa Lough and her team are to be commended for their hard work and leadership in the firm’s wellness efforts, as well as firm management for investing resources into our staff’s health and well-being. A great big applause to everyone at our firm who has participated in and benefited from these programs and demonstrated their determination to reach their health goals.
Smith Debnam, along with the other recipients, were honored at an awards presentation on December 8 at the Raleigh Marriott at Crabtree and were featured in a Special Report published in the Triangle Business Journal on December 9. Click here for more information on the Healthiest Employer award.
