Smith Debnam Narron Drake Saintsing & Myers, LLP has been ranked a first-tier “Best Law Firm” 2010 by U.S. News-Best Lawyers®. The “Best Law Firms” rankings are determined through a national survey distributed to both clients and leading lawyers, who were asked to indicate which lawyer they considered best in their practice area.
In addition to this recognition of the entire firm, John W. Narron and Rose H. Stout, partners in the firm’s family law section, were individually named to “The Best Lawyers in America® 2011”. Both Narron and Stout are multiple recipients of this honor. Selection to this Best Lawyers list is based on an exhaustive peer-review survey in which more than 39,000 leading attorneys cast almost 3.1 million votes on the legal abilities of other lawyers in their practice areas. As lawyers are not required or allowed to pay a fee to be listed, inclusion in Best Lawyers is considered a singularly credible honor.
Mr. Narron has practiced law in North Carolina since 1977, and has been a partner with Smith Debnam since 1987. John is also a North Carolina State Bar Board Family Law Specialist, a member of the inaugural class certified by the Bar in 1991. For 30 years, John has provided advice and litigation services to clients in central and eastern North Carolina in all manner of civil disputes frequently involving equitable distribution proceedings, alimony trials, will caveats, employment disputes, personal injury trials and negotiations, and a wide variety of commercial business disputes.
Ms. Stout concentrates her practice in the area of domestic law. She represents clients in all aspects of family law, including divorce, custody, equitable distribution, child support and alimony. Rose has also a North Carolina State Bar Board Family Law Specialist since the beginning of this designation in 1991. Rose is a mediator and arbitrator and has acted in both capacities in family law matters.
