Raleigh, N.C. (April 30, 2020) – Smith Debnam today announced the addition of South Carolina attorney Elizabeth A. Blackwell to the firm. Blackwell joins Smith Debnam as a partner within the firm’s corporate and business law practice group. Blackwell will concentrate her practice in the area of business litigation, commercial leasing, creditors’ rights, foreclosure, and commercial bankruptcy. She will operate out of Smith Debnam’s South Carolina office located in downtown Charleston.
Before joining Smith Debnam, Blackwell worked at Turner Padget Graham and Laney, where she represented financial institutions and corporate clients in transactional matters involving real estate, restructuring agreements, and contract negotiations. Blackwell earned her undergraduate degree in 2005 from the University of Georgia, and her J.D. and M.B.A from the University of South Carolina in 2009.
