(May 1, 2017) – Raleigh-based law firm Smith Debnam has expanded its family law practice with the addition of Board Certified Family Law Specialist and Certified Financial Settlement Mediator Andrea Bosquez-Porter as partner. Bosquez-Porter will represent clients in all aspects of family law, including separation and divorce, child custody, equitable distribution, alimony, domestic violence, civil harassment, and child support enforcement. Bosquez-Porter arrives from Tharrington Smith, where she worked in Divorce and Family Law.
Bosquez-Porter brings extensive courtroom and mediation experience to her practice, from family law cases involving complex financial matters to child custody disputes. “We are excited to welcome an attorney of Andrea’s background and leadership,” said John W. Bosquez-Porter, a Texas native, earned her Juris Doctor cum laude from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where she received the Abner Brodie Award for outstanding achievement in legal study and application of the law. She holds a Master of Business Administration from Brandeis University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Vassar College. Bosquez-Porter is a member of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. She serves on the Administrative Office of the Courts’ Custody Mediation Advisory Committee and Wake County Bar Association’s Public Service Committee. She is a regular speaker at the Annual Paralegal Review Course and previously served as contributing editor of the NC Family Law Case Book with Critical Issues- 2nd Edition.
