Paralegal Assistant

This position is responsible for providing administrative/clerical support to our practice group paralegals and attorneys.  Duties include documentation preparation, processing mail, communication with clients and court personnel, management of data entry, answering phones and other administrative duties as assigned by the section supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and organize case files to ensure that appropriate case information and legal documents are maintained
  • Prepare and review case letters and pleadings
  • Provide assistance with electronic case management tasks
  • Providing case updates to clients
  • Communicating with court personnel
  • Provide other administrative/clerical tasks as assigned by the section supervisor

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • 2-year college degree or Paralegal Certification preferred
  • Basic understanding of the civil litigation and foreclosure process a plus
  • Ability to type 50 WPM
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office and Corel products to include WordPerfect, Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • 6 months to 1 year administrative/clerical support experience a plus
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong ability to process a large volume of work in an efficient and precise manner
  • Detail oriented
