Stephanie F. Bynum

Stephanie F. Bynum celebrated her retirement from the firm in May of 2012.  Stephanie concentrated her practice in the area of commercial and residential real property law over a legal career spanning 25 years. Stephanie earned her JD from Campbell University and her BA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.  Throughout her career, Stephanie was involved in the CREW Network of professional women in commercial real estate.  She previously served on the Wake County Public Service Committee and as a member of both the North Carolina State Bar Association’s Real Property Lawyers section and the Wake County Division of Real Property Lawyers. Placing a high value on her community, Stephanie has been involved with several charity and community organizations throughout her career including Meals on Wheels, Kirk of Kildaire Presbyterian Church, Cary Debutante Ball Society, and the Kids Center in Raleigh, NC.  She currently serves as Secretary of the Peace College Alumnae Board of Directors.

Stephanie’s gracious spirit, professional excellence, and ever-present smile embody values prized by Smith Debnam, and her presence is greatly missed by her clients and colleagues.  In retirement, Stephanie plans to travel with her husband Jerry and spend time with her two daughters and grandson.
