Title Search Paralegal

Our firm is actively seeking resumes for a residential and commercial Title Search Paralegal.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct full and limited title research and examination for complex commercial, vacant land, and residential properties
  • Locate prior title insurance policies
  • Draft title reports that evaluate and summarize title records and property history
  • Draft, read, interpret, and plat metes and bounds descriptions
  • Prepare, monitor, and manage all documentation for real estate closings from contract through closing, recording, disbursement, and obtaining title insurance
  • Process, proofread and edit Real Estate documents and other written materials

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Prior experience in residential and commercial Real Estate title searching, including searching Registries of Deeds physical books and online resources, Clerks’ AOC terminals
  • Knowledge and experience with identifying and evaluating restrictive covenants, easements, access, rights of way, probate, estate, and foreclosure matters
  • Able to issue-spot and to think critically and analytically
  • Able to work independently and under the pressure of tight deadlines
  • Experience using Simplifile,, Tract Plotter strongly preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products to include Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Type 50 wpm or more
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Proven experience working independently in a prior position

Candidates will be tested for basic skills and must show proof of education/certifications.
