Dear Clients and Friends of Smith Debnam:

As the growing impact of COVID-19 becomes clear, we want to assure you that Smith Debnam will remain fully available to you. We have adapted and activated our business continuity plans to protect the well-being of our employees, clients, guests, and the community at large, while also ensuring that we will continue to meet our clients’ legal and business needs on an uninterrupted basis. Your calls and emails will be answered, and we will continue to represent our clients with the same responsiveness, care, and experience you expect and deserve.

Our firm is fully operational: We have developed a robust plan to minimize the risk of transmission related to firm business, and we have contingency plans in place that enable us to provide you with uninterrupted service throughout any potential shutdowns or quarantines that may be established by local and state officials. In accordance with CDC guidelines, we are limiting in-person meetings where appropriate, practicing social distancing, enhancing cleaning and sanitizing protocols in our office, and conducting routine meetings with clients by phone or through the use of video-conferencing options such as Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, and other platforms.

We are well prepared and agile. Like our clients, our lawyers are highly skilled and innovative, and we are confident we can work with you to develop flexible arrangements for reviewing and executing legal documents, and participating in mediations and arbitrations through electronic means, all while following all necessary precautionary measures to protect your health and the health of our employees.

We’re here for you. We will work hard to help you navigate this difficult period and ask that you openly share with us any questions or concerns you may have; we are here to support you through these challenging times. Please continue to contact us at the same phone numbers and email addresses that you are accustomed to using.

We are all in this together, and we will get through it together.

Our thoughts go out to all those who have been affected by this virus, and our gratitude goes out to all the health care professionals around the world who are working to care for them.

We are living through an unprecedented event.
Please be safe and stay well.
