When David Belisle steps into a courtroom, he carries with him a combination of tenacity, poise, and preparation rooted not only in legal education but in a lifelong passion for problem-solving.

Before practicing law, David worked as an engineer, a background that instilled in him a deep respect for process, structure, and systematic thinking. Today, he brings that mindset to his work representing banks, credit unions, mortgage servicers, and private lenders in matters involving foreclosure, debt enforcement, and creditor litigation.

Since becoming licensed in North Carolina, David has appeared in 85 of the state’s 100 counties. His caseload routinely includes complex matters involving commercial loans, collateral recovery, and contested foreclosures. He’s known for his calm presence in court, ability to adapt under pressure, and his skill in arguing motions and negotiating resolutions. Whether advocating for a client before a judge or resolving matters outside the courtroom, David consistently focuses on achieving outcomes.

Clients trust him not just for his legal knowledge, but for the way he integrates business awareness into every case. His advice is pragmatic, forward-thinking, and tailored to help clients navigate legal conflict while minimizing disruption. He understands that legal disputes often surface alongside broader business challenges, and he works to help clients prioritize, strategize, and proceed with confidence.

Described by colleagues as dependable, respectful, and composed, David is also deeply committed to preparation. Clients benefit from his thoroughness and from his belief that no problem is too complex when you take it one step at a time. Outside of work, David enjoys the quiet rewards of cooking French cuisine with his fiancée and playing fetch with their rescue dog. A frequent visitor to Southport, NC, he finds balance in exploring the coastline and catching up with family.
