Raleigh, N.C. (April 27, 2018) – Smith Debnam is pleased to announce that Partner and Board-Certified Family Law Specialist Rose H. Stout was awarded the 2018 Sarah H. Davis Excellence Award by the North Carolina State Bar Board of Legal Specialization. Stout has been a board-certified specialist in Family Law since 1991, and she has over 25 years of experience as a family law attorney.
The Board of Legal Specialization established the service and recognition awards in 2006, naming the awards for Howard Gum, Sara Davis, and Jim Cross, for their instrumental role in developing the standards for one of the most successful legal specialization programs in the country, according to many. Each year, the North Carolina Board of Legal Specialization recognizes one certified specialist for displaying excellence in their daily work and for maintaining a long and consistent record of handling challenging cases successfully, mentoring attorneys, and keeping high ethical standards at the forefront of everything they do.
“Rose is an exceptional professional,” read one of the comments from Stout’s nomination form. “She works tirelessly for her clients, and knows how to fairly settle cases, but will also litigate when necessary. Rose has a broad base of knowledge and experience including tax and retirement issues, valuing complex assets and businesses, support obligations and cash flow, custody and psychological issues, and much more. Rose is an accomplished professional in all of these areas.”
