This position provides legal and administrative support to attorneys under general supervision, including coordinating with court clerks, communicating with consumers, and preparing judgments and post-judgment documents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Proofread and edit legal documents and other written materials to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Utilize technical resources and information to prepare Judgments and post-judgment documents
- Correspond with various court personnel, local counsel, and adversary attorneys.
- Greet and assist consumers making in-office payments towards outstanding balances.
- Interact with consumers who come to the office to pay balances in person.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by attorney(s).
- Responsible for performing administrative tasks related to the lawsuit process, including document preparation, filing, and tracking deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a professional services setting.
- Basic understanding of litigation legal process preferred.
- Minimum of an associate’s degree from an accredited college preferred.
- Proven ability to work within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong ability to analyze, problem solve, and multitask.
- Effective time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks appropriately.
