RALEIGH, N.C. (August 20, 2026) – Smith Debnam partner Lynn Wilson McNally has been recognized in the 2027 edition of The Best Lawyers in America® for Family Law, continuing a decade of Best Lawyers recognition for an attorney whose preparation is designed to reduce uncertainty for clients.
McNally is a Board Certified Family Law Specialist and a certified Family Financial Settlement Mediator. She handles separation and divorce, child custody and support, alimony, equitable distribution, domestic violence, premarital agreements, and other family law matters as an advocate for her clients, while also serving as a neutral mediator for parties when they seek to resolve disputes outside the courtroom.
Her approach was shaped early in her career when she worked closely with clients as a paralegal. McNally learned that clarity about milestones, decisions, and next steps can materially reduce the stress of a family law matter. She pairs meticulous preparation with candid conversations about the financial and personal consequences of the choices before a client.

She earned her J.D. from Campbell University and her undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
