Brian P. Gilman, CLM

Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Brian directs all financial and operational aspects of the firm. His overall responsibilities include management of finance and accounting, human resources, information systems, marketing, facilities support, and risk management functions. He is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, responsible for strategic planning and business development of the law firm. Brian has over 30 years of experience, including more than 15 years in legal management. Brian is a Certified Legal Manager and currently serves on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Legal Administrators. He is the former President of the Raleigh-Durham Chapter of the Association of Legal Administrators and former Board Chair of an international non-profit organization. He has served the legal profession through his work with the North Carolina Bar Association’s (NCBA) Law Practice Management Council, as well as assisting the NCBA’s groundbreaking efforts over the course of four years on the Transitioning Lawyers Commission. Brian uses his extensive management experience to advise the general business community through his involvement on the BB&T Payment Solutions Advisory Board and the Midtown Raleigh Alliance Board of Directors. In his free time, Brian enjoys leading a small community group from his church each week.
