RALEIGH, N.C. (August 20, 2026) – Smith Debnam associate Rachel E. Rogers has been recognized in the 2027 edition of Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch® in America for Construction Law, marking her fourth consecutive year of recognition by the publication.
Before joining Smith Debnam, Rogers worked at a Raleigh construction civil litigation firm, where she handled matters from inception through disposition and assisted with complex construction disputes. That experience remains an important part of a broader practice that now includes creditors’ rights, business litigation, and commercial matters.
Rogers brings a notably constructive style to adversarial work. She believes professionalism and courtesy can create room for better information, more productive negotiations, and workable resolutions without weakening a client’s position. Her courtroom and arbitration experience gives her the ability to shift gears when a dispute cannot be resolved cooperatively.

Rogers earned her J.D. from Campbell University School of Law and her bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from North Carolina State University. She is licensed in North Carolina and South Carolina and serves as Director of Consumer Litigation for the North Carolina Creditors Bar Association. She will be participating in Leadership Raleigh in 2026.
